pretty_cynicalMy brother was going through old tapes from our family's camcorder and he found a tape from my 13th birthday. He showed it to me, and I couldn't help laughing (and crying). I had invited two friends over (Megan, who I'm still in touch with, and Danae, who i haven't talked to since the beginning of eighth grade). We went to see Legally Blonde 2 and then came home to just hang out. We went outside to my backyard and did some really random things, and my brother videotaped the entire thing. I was so weird back then, I can't believe that it's really me. My apperance has changed too: I now have longer hair, different glasses, and I'm a few inches taller. It was fun to reminise(sp?) about the past, seeing as I'm going to be a sophomore this year and so much has changed.
I went and got an eye exam today. I've had the same eyeglasses since the end of 7th grade and my mom felt it was time for a change (not just in glasses, but also in perscription), so we went to Costco to have an eye exam done and pick out new frames. They're really nice: black and white. I got transitions lenses with them. Then we came home for a little while, and then my mom and I met up with and incoming freshman and her mom, who is going to the same school I go to now, and whom we're carpooling with, at an ice cream place downtown. We talked about random school stuff, so that she's not so clueless on the first day. I can't wait for school to start. It's only a couple more weeks!
