Pre-Calc today wasn't very hard, only because we really didn't do anything, other than go over the packet. I got a lot of it wrong, as expected, but we're doing some Algebra review for the first week or so to catch up. Which is very, very good.

And my 21st Century Life teacher looks exactly like Lindsay Monroe from CSI:NY. *is amused*

I found the drabble-o-matic via the flist, used it, and got the following results:

Amita checked her watch. "Sure. But I've got to go meet the Black Bones for coffee now to, you know, say thanks for saving my life. Stay smooth, baby." She left and the door banged behind her.

Charlie choked back a sob and started folding another dog. Then he went out and got drunk instead.

SO. MUCH. AMUSEMENT.

Saw previews for CSI, CSI:NY and Criminal Minds while watching CBS last night. While I'm excited for all three (especially CSI:NY), I'm a bit distressed that I haven't seen a Numb3rs or Without a Trace preview yet. Both of those shows ended in cliffhangers, and I'm anxious to know what happens in the upcoming season without spoiling myself too much. (Plus, I think Numb3rs premieres a week earlier than the others, so wouldn't make sense to show previews now?)

I really, really need to play catch-up with Criminal Minds. I think I only have two or three episodes that I need to watch, but still. I at least need to watch both parts of the finale before the end of September.

The Private Practice "pilot" isn't going to be shown on ABC this week (at least I don't think it is; the TV Guide may not have the info correct, and I don't know about next week), so I'm in the process of downloading it. I'd prefer to watch it on TV (it looks better, it's easier to skip over the non-Addison stuff), but as long as I can watch it, I don't really care.

Spent the majority of today cleaning/re-organizing my room, although it's only half-clean at this point. But the part that is clean looks really, really good. I'm so proud.

Have lots and lots of new music to listen to. So excited.

-

Am also gearing up for fall TV. I have a few that I saw the finales of that were "to be continued", so I'm excited for those premieres. A lot of those shows I don't watch on a regular basis, so I'll probably only watch the premiere and the occasional episode.

I also made my decision on what new shows I want to watch. I only picked two: Pushing Daisies, because everyone's raving about and it looks really good, and Private Practice, because even though I've stopped watching Grey's Anatomy, Addison=♥.

Need to watch the last few eps of Criminal Minds (plus that first part to the finale) before the new season starts. I should also watch the few eps of Grey's Anatomy I missed; I know I stopped watching after sweeps, but I feel that I need to watch the season before it comes out on DVD. (Weird, I know.)

Tomorrow's agenda: Cleaning the rest of my room/bathroom, writing the rest of my [livejournal.com profile] numb3rswriteoff fic (due in THREE DAYS!), and watching some of The Simpsons in Spanish on DVD.

The only good part about today was seeing Thomas Gibson do a French accent on Dharma & Greg this morning. After that, it all went to hell.

At least I have Maroon 5 to listen to. *feels a bit better*

I made French toast this morning! And it was good! I feel so accomplished and proud that now I can not only make regular toast, but French toast.

Remember how I said that I was going to see Hairspray with Monica and her friends for her birthday? Well, I did not do that. I was very, very annoyed with them soon after they came over (pre-teen girls + sugar = not a good thing), so I ended up going to see The Simpsons Movie with Graham. Very good movie; I think I made the right choice. Without giving too much away, I have to say that it felt like an extended episode, full of "you can't do that on TV" moments. Oh, and Tom Hanks FTW.

-

You know what I've been watching a lot of lately? Dharma & Greg. Shut up. I blame my father: every time he watches Criminal Minds with me, he asked if the actor who plays Hotch (Thomas Gibson) is Greg from Dharma & Greg. Then he got the smart idea to Wiki it, and it turns out he was right. Now I'm watching it nearly everyday, laughing. I'm totally in love with the fact that Greg is the total opposite of Hotch. (ALSO: ICON!)

I've also watched some NCIS today, and I only can say that a) Tony is awesome, b) Tony and McGee look so much alike, I constantly get them mixed up, and c) Ziva could benefit from a hair straightening once in a while. (Plus, it has the most danceable theme music EVER.)

-

Tomorrow's agenda: watching Spanish movies. Will probably only understand some of it.
pretty_cynical: (60 ; hannah harriet hayes.)
Watched The Nine yesterday morning, and I was totally okay with it. And Donald Sutherland scares the crap out of me. (I know, it has nothing to do with The Nine, but still. There was a commercial for his new show, and OMG HE SCARED ME. More than Kiefer does in those instances when he starts yelling and getting all scary.)

-

Had the most disturbing dream a few nights ago. I won't go totally into details, but it did involve my very creepy history/psychology teacher, my old neighborhood, and a gun. All I can say is that I really shouldn't watch Criminal Minds before bed. Even though I didn't even fall alseep until midnight or so. I really didn't think that it could affect me, since I've watched it for so long, but I guess it has finally caught up to me.

-

Today is Monica's birthday, so I went out to lunch with her and Mommy. She's having a few friends over tonight for pizza&cake&icecream and then going to see Hairspray. She invited me to come, and I am so excited, because OMG ALLISON. EEE. Although I will have to take a nap when I get home, because the movie's at 9:30ish and I don't think I can stay up that late in the dark theater. I am quite tired right now, so that's some sort of a start.

I rarely watch CSI:NY anymore, but I did watch the season finale, and it was so very excellent. I can not wait for next season.

However, I didn't watch the Criminal Minds season finale. It turned out that the episode was a conclusion to a two-parter to an episode earlier in the season, and I never saw it. So. Plus, the last few episodes have freaked me out. I don't like that. I'll just pick it up next season, I guess.

My week of Really Important Season Finales starts tonight. I'm so excited.
pretty_cynical: (H: baby it's cold outside)
Monday night's TV was filled with wibbly moments that I'm too excited about to explain - Michael&Sara, Matt&Harriet, and MORRIS, omg. Can hardly contain myself for next week. As for last night's House, I totally forgot that Jennifer Morrison & Jesse Spencer are now engaged, so this scene ) made me feel really weird. I have no idea why.

As for school, I am way too stressed. I have a 2-page paper on comparing/constrasting Chinese and American school rules for Amer. Lit (due Friday, and I just got the assignment today), and a 4-page research paper on Journalism Ethics for Writing Styles (this one was due Tuesday, but the teacher moved it so the seniors - which is basically the entire class - can do it after they go to Chicago). This is great for me, seeing as I got the assignment three weeks or so ago and haven't even started the research for it. I need to get a book from the library. And do internet research. It would be so easy if I could use Wiki, but I can't.

Criminal Minds tonight, yayz. I haven't seen the first part, so I am SO EXCITED they are showing the first part AND the second part. I can hardly wait.
