next week is finals.
Dec. 8th, 2008 03:45 pmToday I found out that a) I have a 75% in Astronomy (READ: NOT FAILING!) and b) my English final is on Wednesday. I didn't show up for the last two classes, and I'm not entirely sure I even have class today. But I'm assuming we'll just be writing an essay instead of taking an actual test, so no need to study. And the Astronomy final is going to be open book, so all I really need to do is take notes on where things are. Another (somewhat) easy one.
I'm attending a Stats review session on Friday (even though I don't have any classes that day), because I'm totally clueless as to what the final entails. I only have an hour to be test on 11 chapters worth of stuff, and I could barely finish a regular exam in that time. Also, I really need this review because I only understand a tiny bit of what we've learned so far. I'm really going to hardcore study for this one.
I finished typing up my speech earlier today, and the visual aids are done, so all that's left is to write out notecards and practice it before tomorrow afternoon. I'm one of the last speakers, so I have a little bit more time to prepare, but I'm still nervous that I won't make it interesting and/or it won't fit the 6 to 7 minute time requirement. So we'll see how it goes. I'm also getting a study guide for the final tomorrow, because the professor wasn't able to print it out last week. I could have started studying for final that a little bit over the weekend, but no. Now I have 4 finals to study for in less than a week, along with other homework to finish. My professors are lame in that they don't tell you what's on the final until the very last minute (so you can't really study until the week before) AND they expect you to do homework as well. It sucks.
What's nice about my Government final is that it's only on the last three or four sections we covered, and I have the option of taking it either Tuesday or Thursday next week. Problem is, I've got Stats exams (one is the last exam of the semester, the other is the final) on both those days, and I really need to do well on them in order to boost my grade. I'd just like to focus on doing well in Stats instead of having to focus on the Government final along with it. I don't know what I'm going to do.
I just wish it was Christmas break already.
