slow it down.

I was pretty bored last night, so I decided to clean out my backpack. I haven't even touched it since I finished high school in May, and I'll need to use it for college. There isn't really a lot left in there (my journal from Poetry&Short Stories, a few final exam study guides, my AP Spanish grammar workbook, and stuff from choir), but I did come across some stuff I wrote in Poetry&Short Stories that I absolutely love and refused to put in my writing portfolio.
For Valentine's Day, our teacher had us write journal entries that related to the holiday. I choose to write about a real-life love story about Jim&Pam from The Office, giving a sort-of overview of their relationship up to that point. Here's how it went:
Mind you, this was during the height of the writer's strike, where I swore I wouldn't write anything to be in solidarity with the WGA. And yet I somehow pulled this off. I'm so proud of myself!
I JUST WISH IT WASN'T ON THE FRONT AND BACK OF ONE PAGE, BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO DISPLAY IT. ARGHHHHHHH.

The IOC investigated the whole Chinese gymnasts controversy, and after 12 hours, they found nothing wrong. I'm incredibly suspicious. (And why wasn't this fully investigated before the Olympics started? I GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW.)
-
I started my online search for the textbooks I need for Fall, and I had to stop a half-hour into my searching because I got frustrated. I'll have Dad help me later tonight/sometime this weekend, because buying textbooks online is just too overwhelming for one person.
AND YEAH, I HAVE TO STUDY FOR MY FINAL TOO.

Apparently Aaron Sorkin has joined Facebook, only because he wants to make a movie about the creation of Facebook. This looks like it's not going to go over well at all.
For Valentine's Day, our teacher had us write journal entries that related to the holiday. I choose to write about a real-life love story about Jim&Pam from The Office, giving a sort-of overview of their relationship up to that point. Here's how it went:
Guy meets Girl on her first day of work. Tells her "that yogurt is expired", and she falls in love. Except Girl is engaged, and has been for years. She's won the award for longest engagement, and now it's getting old. So Guy pines for Girl in silence, telling jokes and playing pranks. Guy gets Girl teapot for Christmas, and almost says those three little words.
It isn't until the night at the Casino that he shares his two feelings, and she rejects him because she's getting married in a month. Guy moves away and gets a new girl, Gilr calls of wedding and makes a few changes. Guy and his new girl come back in a few months, and everything gets awkward.
When Guy is up for promotion, he must choose: his true love and a job he hates, or his rebound girl and a job far away. He turns down the job and gets with Girl, but no one knows except for the crew. When the secret comes out, everyone is surprised; they've been dating a few months. They've spent a night at the farm, and bring each other breakfast and juice, too.
ARGHHHHHHH.
